Marilyn MacGregor, professional artist with a home in Saumur and long time love of France, will be your guide and teacher. Known for lighthearted, detailed sketches of her travels, with a gallery in Paris and a wide following in the US and elsewhere, she will be delighted to work with you at whatever level of drawing you are comfortable with. Her many years as a teacher means she is interested in you and what you want to do, rather than expecting you to be an already skilled artist. Existing artists, however, will enjoy the chance to see and explore their own practice in a new place, with new ideas and a chance to experiment.
You'll have the delight of accommodations at Le Maison Trumeau in the center of Saumur, quiet, convenient, and gorgeous, with a choice of en-suite bedrooms. The retreat is limited in size so that everyone can enjoy this special lodging, with freedom to relax and make use of the generous public spaces. Breakfast each day, included in the retreat, will be hosted in the lovely garden and elegant dining room. Two dinners at Le Maison Trumeau, also included, will begin and end the retreat.
Mandy Murphy, your host at Le Maison Trumeau, will join in guiding and ensuring that your stay is perfection!
